Chromebook certification is recommended for:

Technicians: Recommended for those working at retail locations, repair depots, and school campuses who perform Chromebook repairs.
IT Professionals: Beneficial for those managing fleets of Chromebooks in enterprises and educational institutions, as well as those involved in K-12 depot programs.
WISE Authorized Service Centers (ASC): Mandatory for line managers performing Chromebook repairs to ensure compliance with WISE ASC requirements.

Why.

WISE is the industry recognized standard for retailers and technicians performing wireless device repair. Like WISE Level 1 for smartphones and tablets, the comprehensive certification program aims to equip technicians with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the fast-evolving world of Chromebook technology.

What.

Students will learn essential repair skills, including screen, battery, and charge port replacements, while developing customer service and business operation expertise.

How.

Take the Online Chromebook Knowledge Exam.

The Level 1 Knowledge Exam for Chromebooks is a 45-question assessment that tests foundational device repair knowledge and introductory-level curriculum outlined in the WISE Technician Certification Study Guide for Chromebook Repair. To qualify for repairing or troubleshooting Chromebook issues without physically opening the device, users must pass the exam with a score of at least 70%.

Once registered on the WISE Certification platform, the technician may purchase the WISE Certification exam. Upon enrollment, the technician will have access to a downloadable exam study guide and online exam. Applicants will have 30 days to pass the exam with a score of 70 percent or greater within two attempts to earn Level 1 certification.
